>> a man placed in custody is accused of talk taking on two philadelphia police officers leaving bite marks breaking through the skin. >> new this morning an armed plan is arrested for stalking an amazon delivery man during his route. >> drivers are encountering some patches of fog at this early hour and then another round of rain pushes into the region. >> good morning out there. it's 5:30 on this wednesday, november 30th. david is off. karen rogers and matt pelman have your weather and traffic. karen, i think we got enough rain yesterday. we don't need any more. >> we do need it. that's the thing. we don't want it though you're right but we have much needed rain because we have a near drought in many spots. here's the update with the fog. i was telling you earlier i wouldn't be surprised to see them extend the dense fog advisory through entire region based on what i was seeing with the fog reports and that's what's happening right now. a dense fog advisory throughout the entire region until 9 o'clock because of

some inn some areas the fog is considerable. talking about .3 of a mile visibility in trenton and in millville, atlantic city, wildwood, half a mile visibility because of the fog in toms river and dover, half a mile in wilmington, .3 of a mile in lancaster. still 5-mile visibility at philadelphia international airport but you're in and out of this fog it's a big deal because the roads are wet so it's hard to drive around when you kind of can't see and the roads are slippery. look at this. storm tracker6 live 3-d showing the heavy rain that's approaching both from the south and the west. this is really hitting us today. we're going to get some periods of heavy rain today, closer view of satellite six showing right now we're just in the clouds. that rain is still to the south and to the west but it's been coming in waves today. very mild ahead of this rain. 56 degrees already in philadelphia and we're shooting up to 68 today. 68 degrees, periods of rain, even a rumble of thunder. i'm going to take you hour by hour in the forecast so you know when to expect this heavy rain coming up in just a few minutes matt. >> so far karen things are not

going so well on these wet and slippery roadways. this is a live look in bucks county, route one the superhighway at route 13. we had a southbound accident and i think that the car ran off the roadway into the grassy area because now crews are here on the northbound side pulling the car out of the grass. tow truck is here. police officers here. most of the activity, though, is on the shoulder. so the good news is you can get by. you're not getting by a crash in east norriton. sweet road blocked off at germantown pike. whitehall road or even 202 would be some alternates. word avenue few crash in upper merion on byberry road by 23. lafayette hill along jackson drive at pine tree road. coming southbound on lincoln drive watch out for one near rittenhouse street. those drives are really treacherous because they're so windy and there are so many wet levers it is really slippery and kind of a tricky ride. on the big picture overnight construction on the northbound side of 95 in delco at 420 is gone. same here on the vine street expressway. all the overnight work is cleared, all lanes reopened.

crews do return tonight though at 11 o'clock and there's still some work for the next half hour over here in cherry hill. brace road blocked off at kresson road. kings highway gets you around that until 6:00 on this wednesday morning. matt. >> thank you, matt. we are following breaking news. two philadelphia police officers say a man they were taking into custody started biting them during a violent struggle and the bites were so deep they drew blood. "action news" reporter annie mccormick is live outside the 24th police district where those officers are stationed. annie. >> reporter: matt, that's right, those are two officers from the 24th district that are now in the hospital after police say that suspect that they were trying to get into custody bit them on their hands and on their arms several times. they also got headbutted and it was a big struggle so there was a number of other injuries. take a look at this video. this is video from the scene. the attack started just after 1:30 in the morning. two 24th district police officers on routine patrol around the 1200 block of east

atlantic street saw a man trying to break into a car. when police went to stop him that's when the violent struggle began. the suspect tried to flee and punched kicked headbutted and bit both officers multiple times breaking skin and drawing blood. >> both officers, male and female officers were bit on the arm and hand where it actually broke the skin and drew blood. so, police transported both of the officers to aria frankford hospital. they are in stable condition. however, any time someone's bit, a human bite, it is really potentially very dangerous so it has to be thoroughly, thoroughly cleaned. >> reporter: now, those police officers did get the 32-year-old suspect into custody. another concern because of that bite is according to police that this suspect is a known drug user so they have concerns there. well, he is facing a number of charges including aggravated

"action news" spoke exclusively to a friend hoop witnessed 14-year-old ian wilsey's murder in the city's mayfair section on monday night. the child who wants to remain anonymous for safety reasons says he and ian were ambushed while walking to the corner store. according to the account two men jumped out of a car said nothing and started firing. ian ran a few feet before collapsing to his death. his friend unharmed ran for help. police are urging anyone with information on the killers to contact them. >> camden police are getting the word out about a wanted sexual predator. take a look at a sketch of the suspect. he drove up to a woman on the 900 block of south third street in camden on sunday evening. police say he forced the victim into a white van and then drove her to an abandoned building where he assaulted her. detectives are asking for your help if you think you looked at that picture and know who it is. and a driver injured two women trying toes cross the

street back to their office in cherry hill, new jersey. it's believed that the victims here are a mother and her adult daughter. the collision happened on greentree road near route 70's last night. police say the women will just grabbed a coffee weren't not using a designated crosswalk but the driver did stop at that scene. >> time is now 5:36. a delaware county man is accused of stalking an amazon delivery driver and trying to run from police. it started in concorde township on monday afternoon. the 26-year-old driver tells police a man in a red car followed him for several hours yelling racial slurs and threatening him with a gun. state troopers tracked 53-year-old joseph keenan to his house in glen mills later that night and that is when they say keenan took off. >> i heard the screeching of brakes. the car was going fast and screeching the brakes and then we heard this big bang and when i looked out the door, the police car was this way and the man's car was this way and they were on the man's

lawn across the street. >> police eventually took keenan into custody. a man is wanted for a prescription drug robbery in montgomery county. surveillance images show the man walking into the wellness first pharmacy yesterday wearing scrubs. two minutes later an accomplice walks in with a suitcase. the pair threat tent two employees with a gun and handed them a note demanding narcotics. the robbers got away in a silver toyota sienna. police say they have located that car. >> president-elect donald trump is touting a new deal to keep american jobs from moving to mexico. the air conditioning company carrier says it reached an agreement with trump to keep a thousand jobs at its plant in indiana. trump and vice president elect and indiana governor mike pence will join executives from carrier in indiana tomorrow. trump had campaigned on keeping these specific jobs at carrier from going overseas. mitt romney and dom trump dialed at an unscale manhattan

fog is an issue. we'll see if we can catch it in our camera. what a pretty shot. this is our new sky6 shot that you can see and we're looking at the gorgeous tree there in center city. let's check the currents numbers for you. right now it's warm to see christmas trees when it's 56 degrees. in trenton, 59 right now in millville. we've got our always on day planner to help you out hour by hour through the day. satellite6 and action radar showing lots of clouds and here's a wider view of that rain that i talked about. you see it to the south and to the west as well. as we take a wider view yet, here's that cold front. still a ways to go. they had some severe weather down to the southwest, about 10 tornadoes late yesterday. this is area of low pressure is tracking up in our direction and going to bring us periods of rain, kind of coming in and out of it through the day. future tracker6 showing at 9 o'clock in the morning some pockets of heavy rain especially south and west of the city. we advance this a little bit to 10:30. still in and out of some heavy rain here and there. and then you get a bit of a

lull in the afternoon. by 4 o'clock the lull starts to end, we get some more rain moving. you're in and out of it through the evening hours. not quite as heavy at 6:30 as we'll see early in the morning. and then by later on tonight, that's when the rain starts to build. this is a look at 11:30. we see some heavier pockets. watch what happens overnight. at 1:30 in the morning, you may hear the rumble of thunder when this fronts actually comes through the region and then it clears out in time for your morning commute and we're looking at a dry day tomorrow. much different weather pattern coming your way. today it's mild. got to watch out for some dense fog. periods of rain on and off through the day even into the overnight hearing the rumble of thunder. additional half inch to an inch of rain in addition to what we already received. here's your forecast hour by hour. by 8:00 a.m., the upper 50's. by 10:00 a.m., we're at 60. that rain is coming down hard. by noon, 61. bit of a lull noon and 3 o'clock it will be mostly just cloudy maybe a little damp. then by 5 o'clock you're in and out of the showers again, 67 degrees. here's your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast.

>> ♪ >> just about 5:45 on this wednesday. taking a live look from riverton, burlington county, new jersey, across the delaware river. look at the temperature right now. 56. it's going to be quite warm today, 68. look out for some fog this morning and then rain coming in a little bit later. >> and there can make for a tough commute. let's go over to matt pelman. is the fog already affecting people out there? >> the fog in combination with the wet leaves and damp roadways leaving us with slippery conditions and that is leading to accidents on this wednesday morning unfortunately, matt and tam. coming out of the burbs this is route one the superhighway in bucks county. i said going into the break let's see if route one looks any better than 95 where it was foggy. might be a tad less foggy here but we did have a crash in the southbound direction right here by 13, a vehicle ran right off the roadway into the grassy area. they have pulled it out now. emergency crews have cleared so everything is opened along one. bottom line is with one or 95 just allow some extra time

with the wet and foggy conditions. both roads are opened and at this point incidents free. however, there's a crash that we're watching in east norriton swede road blocked off at germantown pike there by the sonic so to get around that blockage i would use whitehall or stay over on 202 and in upper merion there's a crash by intel along beidler road at valley forge road which of course is route 23. still have the wreck in lafayette hill along jackson driver at pine tree road. still working on this downed light pole in lawrence township mercer county. it's partially blocking the ramp from 295 northbound to route one northbound. the good news is you can squeeze by. in moorestown burlington county, this is a live look at 38 at nixon drive right by the moorestown mall. a little bit damp but traffic is getting by okay. time for the commuter report brought to you by the waze app in fairmount park reports avenue minor crash but you can squeeze by that as well. tam. >> thank you, matt. new this morning an explosion leveled a home in

new york state as a woman opened her front door. amazingly that woman was able to grab her dog and crawl to safety. her husband and three children were not in the home at the time. authorities say the home about an hour north of new york city does use propane gas but it hasn't been given as the definitive reason for this blast. >> defense rested its case in the murder trial of michael slager. the former north charleston police officer shared his version of a shooting on the witness stand yesterday. slayinger is on trial for the shooting death of walter scott during a traffic stop last year. scott was unarmed and video shows he had his back to the officer. slager who grew up in mount laurel, new jersey, claims scott grabbed his taser in a fight but now admits scott did not run away while holding that taser. >> newly released surveillance video shows a man stealing a bucket of gold flakes that are worth more than a million dollars. the heist happened in new york city two months ago. take a look at the video.

it shows the suspect in a black vest taking a bucket from the open armored truck and quickly walking away. police say it was a 5-gallon bucket of gold flakes weighing 86 pounds valued at $1.6 million. that suspect is still on the run. >> happening tonight, philadelphia celebrates the holidays. arguments in a citizens complaints against governor chris christie and the bridgegate scandal. north jersey is he residents william brennan claims christie violated the state's official misconduct statute by failing to reopen the lanes to the george washington bridge in 20:13 a.m. jury convicted two of christie's former aides in a criminal trial related to the case. christie maintains his innocence and has not been charged. >> governor christie announced plans to renovate trenton state house. work on the $300 million makeover begins immediately. the project is expected to take four years. some parts of the building date back to the 18th century and there have been no major upgrades since 1958. christie's staff will be moved into other office space by july. only the executive offices though of the statehouse will be affected not the legislature. >> 5:57. we continue to follow developing news. wildfires continues to rage near resort towns in tennessee and they have turned deadly. >> and strong storms leave their mark down south. we're learning some of the victims did not survive. >> ♪
